  The Housing Authority of Columbus Georgia (HACG) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 20, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 24, 2024 at 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in February, 2023.

  The Selma Housing Authority (SHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 3, 2024 at 8:00 am, until June 3, 2024 at 5:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in August, 2023.

  The Pharr Housing Authority (PHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from May 20, 2024 at 8:00 am, until May 24, 2024 at 5:00 pm CT. This is the first time the waiting list will be open since January, 2024.

  The DeLand Housing Authority (DHA) will accept Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications from June 11, 2024 at 9:00 am ET, until 1,000 applications have been received. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in January, 2022.

• New York City, NY Mayor Eric Adams announces Section 8 HCV waiting list reopening in 2024

  Announced during New York City's State of the City address by NYC Mayor Eric Adams, the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) Section 8 Housing Voucher Waiting List will open on a date to be announced in 2024. NYCHA last accepted Section 8 HCV applications in December, 2009.

• Alameda County, California Section 8 Waiting Lists

  The Housing Authority of the County of Alameda (HACA) accepts Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications for one day only on May 6, 2024 from 8:00 am, until 8:00 pm PT. The HACA will also accept Section 8 Project-Based Voucher waiting list applications for 3 and 4-bedroom Apartments in Emeryville and Union City. According to the HACA, this is "a 1-day extension to the April 2024 waitlist opening. If you applied during the April waitlist opening, you do not need to take any action. All applications received in the previous April 2024 opening and this one-day opening will be entered into the lottery."

  The Citrus County Housing Services Division (HSD) Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher waiting list applications will be accepted from May 1, 2024 at 9:00 am, until May 7, 2024 at 4:00 pm ET. This is the first time the waiting list has been open since it closed in July, 2021.
